Hazardous weather condition on the road seen through windshield. weather affects car accident liability
Chicago’s weather affects car accident liability, especially during icy and rainy conditions. Assigning liability in bad weather accidents hinges on a driver’s adaptability to the weather and road conditions. Illinois drivers are legally required to adjust their overall driving behavior according to the weather. Failure to do so could lead to liability for the crashes that occur. Learning more about how weather conditions affect liability is crucial if you’re involved in an accident in adverse weather.

Increased Risk of Motor Vehicle Accidents Leads to Volvo Recall

Posted By:

The Chicago and South Chicago Accident Lawyers at Grazian and Volpe (now Lloyd Miller Law) advise all owners of these vehicles to take their cars to their Volvo dealer for inspection. Volvo will make any repairs needed without charge. Volvo Cars which is now owned by China’s Geely, is recalling the 2007 model year cars, built between March 8, 2006 and May 16, 2007 to inspect a potential problem that could cause a hose to burst at the steering gear resulting in a sudden loss of power steering, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety administration.

Volvo has estimated that 6% of the recalled cars have the defect but is presently not aware of any reports linking any accidents or injuries to this issue

We were  surprised to learn that Geely had taken over Ford Motor Company’s Volvo car unit in 2010 but glad to see that they appear to be honoring the Volvo’s reputation as a brand committed to safety.
